System Overview

Medium-to-Long Range Starlight Surveillance with Fixed Focus

What It Is

The XHM2025C is an ultra low light electro-optical surveillance camera of the Ultra Low Light EO Surveillance Camera class, combining a 0.8-inch CMOS sensor with a 22.5 mm F1.2 fixed-focus telephoto lens and a 27.8° horizontal field of view to deliver 24/7 full-colour starlight imaging at medium-to-long surveillance distances.

Performance

The XHM2025C achieves a minimum effective illumination of 0.001 lx at 25 fps and 0.0004 lx at 2 fps, with dynamic range of 72 dB (WDR off) to 120 dB (WDR on). Person-target DRI validated per US NVESD standards against a 1.7 m × 0.5 m human target: 1910 m detection, 470 m recognition, and 300 m identification at day and night. AI video analytics starts at ≥ 120 m with manual zoom extending effective analytics range by up to three times.

Key Technical Features

  • ONVIF / RTSP / PELCO and HTTP API support enable direct integration with enterprise VMS platforms and PTZ controller infrastructure without proprietary middleware.
  • 22.5 mm F1.2 fixed-focus optics provide a 27.8° horizontal field of view, balancing detection range with scene coverage area for mid-range perimeter and border segments.
  • Adaptive frame rate exposure from 30/25 fps to 2 fps ensures continuous colour imaging at minimum illumination while maintaining higher frame rates in better-lit conditions.
  • Optional 4G LTE connectivity and WebRTC licensing support autonomous remote operation without fixed network cabling.

Platform Compatibility

The XHM2025C is suited for fixed deployment on surveillance poles, border segment towers, and coastal monitoring stations where a 27.8° horizontal FOV at medium-to-long range provides effective corridor coverage. The XHM2025M module variant supports OEM integration into custom platform enclosures.

Medium-Angle Starlight Colour Imaging

The XHM2025C pairs a 0.8-inch CMOS sensor with a 22.5 mm F1.2 fixed-focus lens, providing a 27.8° horizontal field of view for 24/7 full-colour starlight imaging at medium-to-long surveillance ranges. The optics balance detection range extension against scene coverage width.

1910 m Person Detection Performance

DRI distances are measured per US NVESD methodology against a 1.7 m × 0.5 m human target, achieving 1910 m detection, 470 m recognition, and 300 m identification at day and night. AI analytics activates at ≥ 120 m, with manual zoom extending the analytics range by up to three times.

Fixed-Focus Operational Simplicity

The fixed-focus design permanently calibrates the lens for the operational range, eliminating focus motor maintenance and drift-induced image degradation common in motorised focus systems deployed in outdoor environments across temperature cycles.

Adaptive Exposure and Network Streaming

Three automatic exposure modes adjust frame rate from 30/25 fps to 2 fps as ambient light decreases, extending minimum effective illumination to 0.0004 lx. ONVIF, RTSP, and HTTP API provide flexible integration with VMS platforms and network recording systems.
