System Overview

System Detail

What It Is

The XHC6060C-ABF is an Ultra Low Light EO Surveillance Camera built around a 1.5-inch CMOS sensor with 10 µm pixel pitch, paired with a 65 mm equivalent F1.2 high-aperture lens to deliver passive full-colour 24/7 imaging under starlight and ultra-low-illumination conditions without any auxiliary light source.

Performance

The camera achieves a minimum effective illumination of 0.0006 lux at 25 fps (0.0001 lux at 5 fps) in full colour, and 0.0003 lux at 25 fps for the B&W variant. Based on US NVESD measurement standards against a 1.7 m × 0.5 m human target, the XHC6060C-ABF delivers person detection at 3000 m, recognition at 750 m, and identification at 470 m day and night; the XHC6060B-ABF variant extends detection to 4280 m. Dynamic range is 72 dB with WDR off and up to 120 dB with WDR on, at a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 Full HD with a horizontal FOV of 21°.

Key Technical Features

  • Auto Back Focus (ABF) with motorised remote focus adjustment enabling installation in elevated or inaccessible locations without on-site optical alignment.
  • AI video analytics with global alert, cross-border alert, and regional alert detection modes; AI analytics range ≥ 150 m (colour) extendable 3× with manual zoom.
  • ONVIF / RTSP / PELCO protocol compliance over RJ45 Ethernet, with integrated Wi-Fi (standard) and optional 4G LTE for flexible deployment.
  • Adaptive frame rate modes from 5 to 30 fps with multi-frame low-noise processing and adjustable 3D noise reduction to maximise sensitivity at reduced frame rates.

Platform Compatibility

The XHC6060C-ABF suits fixed-mount outdoor deployment on mast, wall, or tower structures for medium-range perimeter security, maritime monitoring, and situational awareness applications; the XHM6060 module variant is available for OEM integration into custom enclosures and multi-sensor surveillance platforms.

Wider FOV Starlight Colour Imaging

The 65 mm F1.2 lens delivers a 21° horizontal field of view, covering broader scene areas per camera node than long-focal-length alternatives while maintaining passive full-colour imaging under starlight conditions. This balances coverage area with detection range for medium-range perimeter scenarios.

ABF Remote Focus Capability

Motorised Auto Back Focus allows operators to remotely adjust and lock focus after installation without a technician site visit. This reduces commissioning time and operational cost for cameras mounted on elevated masts or in restricted-access enclosures.

NVESD-Standard Medium-Range DRI

DRI performance is validated against a 1.7 m × 0.5 m human target using US NVESD methodology, yielding 3000 m detection, 750 m recognition, and 470 m identification in colour mode day and night. The B&W variant extends detection to 4280 m for extreme low-light scenarios.

AI Analytics and Internal Storage

Built-in AI detection covers global alert, cross-border alert, and regional alert modes with an analytics range starting at 150 m (colour), extendable 3× with manual zoom. On-board 32 GB storage (expandable to 128 GB) supports standalone recording independent of network infrastructure.

Operational Scenarios

Designed for the Field

Medium-Range Perimeter Security

The XHC6060C-ABF is optimised for fixed perimeter security deployments requiring passive colour imaging at medium ranges under starlight conditions, providing a wider situational field of view than long-focal-length alternatives.

Maritime and Coastal Monitoring

The wider 21° horizontal FOV and 3000 m person detection range make this camera well suited for coastal surveillance, port security, and maritime perimeter monitoring without supplemental illumination.

OEM Module Integration

System integrators select the XHM6060 module variant for embedding into vehicle-mount housings, vessel-mount brackets, and multi-sensor platforms where a medium-range passive imaging core is required.

Perimeter and Area Surveillance

The XHC6060C-ABF delivers medium-range passive surveillance with a 21° horizontal field of view, enabling wider scene coverage per camera node compared to long-focal-length variants. It targets perimeter security scenarios where broader area awareness is prioritised alongside detection range. A 0.0006 lux minimum illumination at 25 fps ensures continuous colour imaging under starlight conditions, with person detection at 3000 m and identification at 470 m without active illumination.

  • Person Detection Range: 3000 m (colour)
  • Min. Illumination: 0.0006 lux @ 25 fps
  • FOV Horizontal: 21°
  • Focal Length: 65 mm equivalent, F1.2

Maritime and Coastal Monitoring

Coastal surveillance and port security operations benefit from the wider FOV and 3000 m detection range of the XHC6060C-ABF, covering vessel approach lanes and shoreline perimeters without supplemental lighting that would compromise operational discretion. The B&W variant (XHC6060B-ABF) extends person detection to 4280 m and recognition to 1070 m, suitable for night-time maritime watch operations in very low ambient light environments.

  • Detection Range (B&W): 4280 m (day and night)
  • Recognition Range (B&W): 1070 m
  • Protocol: ONVIF / RTSP / PELCO
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi standard; 4G LTE optional

Medium-Range OEM Integration

Integrators embed the XHM6060 module variant into vessel-mount housings, vehicle surveillance pods, and multi-camera perimeter towers requiring a medium-range starlight imaging core with a wider field of view than telephoto alternatives. Identical electrical interfaces and firmware features to the XHC6060C-ABF camera variant enable straightforward hardware substitution; SDK and HTTP API support is available upon request for software integration.

  • Sensor: 1.5 inch CMOS, 10 µm × 10 µm pixel pitch
  • Internal Storage: 32 GB default, max 128 GB
  • Interface: RJ45; Wi-Fi; 4G LTE (optional)
  • SDK: available upon request
